Trawling ban extended to August 15

Thiruvananthapuram, July 29 (UNI) The Kerala government has issued notification extending trawling ban in coastal waters up to August 15 in the wake of a Supreme Court order in this regard.

The notification amends its earlier order introducing trawling ban from June 15 to July 29.

The apex court has directed Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Karnakata and Kerala to ban trawling till August 15.
