Strong measures to check illicit distillation: Minister

Palakkad, July 29 (UNI) Kerala Excise Minister P K Gurudasan today said strong measures would be taken to curb illicit distillation and sale of spurious liquor.

Inauguraing the 27th state conference of the Kerala Excise Staff Association here, he said Excise staff would be given modern weapons and communication equipment to carry out raids to check illicit distillation and to deal with liquor mafias.

Mr Gurudasan assured the Excise staff that their demands would be favourably considered.
