Special Court adjourns hearing on Jayalalithaa wealth case to Sep 2
Bangalore, July 29 (UNI) Special Court Judge A T Manoli today adjourned to September two the Rs 66 crore wealth case against former Tamil Nadu chief minister and All India Anna DMK supremo J Jayalalithaa and others.
The adjournment was necessitated as a petition was pending before the Supreme Court against clubbing of two cases.
While in one case Ms Jayalalithaa, her confidant N Sashikala and her relatives V N Sudhakaran and Ilavarasi were involved, in another case former MP T T V Dhinakaran, was the accused.
The cases, filed by the then DMK General Secretary K Anbazhagan, now a Minister in Karunanidhi government in Tamil Nadu, alleged that Ms Jayalalithaa was owning properties disproportionate to her known sources of income.
