Sidha doctors meet on Aug 25

Tiruchirapalli, July 29 (UNI) The seventh state-level Conference of the Sidha, Ayurvedha, Unani, Homeopathy and Acupuncture doctors will be held at Coimbatore on August 25.

Disclosing this to reporters here today, All India Alternative Medical Academy President K S Subaiah said, over 1,000 doctors in Tamil Nadu would participate in the one-day conference.

To mark the occasion, statues of 18 Sidhas, like Shri Agasthiar, Bogar, Gorakkar, Karuvurar, Thirumoolar would be installed at Kaamatchipuri Adheenam.

The conference would appeal the state government to constitute a special Sidha Welfare Board to protect the Traditional Sidha Medical Practice and also seek recognition of the practitioners in the state.
