Safety-Plast-Print 2007 expo at Mumbai in February
Ahmedabad, July 29: ''Safety-Plast-Print 2007'', a three-day exposition on fire and safety, plastic and rubber, and print and pack, will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Mumbai in February, next year.
The exposition has been organised by New Delhi-based Green-Tech Trade Fairs Private Limited (GTTFPL), with support from the National Institute of Safety and Health (NIOSH), Malaysia, Institute of Fire Engineers, All India Rubber Industries Research Association, and All India Food Processors Association, GTTFPL president Kamleshwar Sharan told reporters yesterday.
The Safety-Plast-Print 2007 will enable exhibitors to showcase their latest products and services, Mr Sharan said. The exhibition will include among other things, access control devices, forensic science lab equipments, bank security equipments, gas leak prevention devices, CCTV surveillance systems, industrial safety wears, explosive detection and disposal, information security devices, fire alarm and fire fighting equipments, fire extinguishing chemicals, and fire resistant garments.
Around 600 exhibitors are expected to participate in the exposition, including 200 from abroad, particularly from the Middle East.
Mr Sharan said that although fire and safety; plastic and rubber; print and pack are very important subjects and play a vital role in industries in India, a dedicated exhibiton of these specialised subjects had not been organised earlier. The size of the Indian fire protection industry is Rs 1,500-crore per annum at present and is expected to grow five-fold within a decade, he said.
Similarly, rubber and plastic and printing and packing are also major industries with a lot of potential, added Mr Sharan.
