Sadhus hail anti-conversion bill
Bhopal, July 29(UNI) The Akhil Bhartiya Sadhu Samaj has hailed the passage of Freedom of Religion Amendment Bill to regulate conversion in Madhya Pradesh.
A delegation of the Samaj, which met Chief Minister S S Chouhan here today, also lauded imposing total ban on cow slaughter, setting up Sanskrit University and subsidy for Mansarovar pilgrims. They also sought land for constructing temples.
Delegations of Sahu Samaj and Brahmin Samaj also met Mr Chouhan.
Responding to the demands of a delegation of power loom workers, Mr Chouhan issued instructions to study the facilities being provided to the power loom sector in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. He assured that marketing facilities would be provided to power loom workers.
