Police confirm arrest of five naxals

Rajahmundry, July 29 (UNI) Police today confirmed the arrest of five CPI (ML) activists at A V A Road in Godavari Loya Praja Prathighatana last night.

Talking to reporters, East Godavari district Superintendent of Police B Srinivasulu said arms and pamphlets were recovered from them The arrested include CPI-ML Godvari Loya Praja Prathighatana Committee Secretary Nirmala alias Radhakka (68), West Bengal IFTU activists Animesh Mukherjee (40), Alam Venkateswarlu alias Abbas (34), P Saidulu (30),P Pranavamurthy (62).

They were produced before the Second Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate P Annapurna who remanded them till August 11.
