Pakistani Army Major among 3 infiltrators killed in Gurez

Srinagar, July 28 (UNI) Major in Nine Baloch Battalion of the Pakistani Army Mohammad Kasim Khan was among the three people killed when security forces foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control in Gurez Sector on July 26, a defence spokesman confirmed tonight.

He said troops guarding the Line of Control (LoC) noticed a group of militants sneaking into this side in Gurez sector.

When challenged and asked to surrender, the militants opened fire. The troops also retaliated and in the encounter three militants were killed.

The spokesman said it confirmed the Pakistani army's involvement in infiltration.
