Pak denies imitating Indian education system

New Delhi, July 29 (UNI) Pakistan today strongly denied media reports that it asked for India's help in replicating its education system in madrassas (religious institutions).

A statement from Pakistan High Commission here said such reports were ''baseless and incorrect''.

The Pakistan government was only seeking detailed information on how students from different sections were studying together in madrassas in West Bengal, the statement said.

''Asking for detailed information does not mean that Pakistan intends to seek help and wants to copy the programme,'' the statement added.
