Nestle India Q2 net dips 2 per cent

New Delhi, July 29: Nestle India today posted a 2.1 per cent drop in net profit at Rs 81.03 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 82.77 crore for the same quarter previous year.

The company's total income was up by 10 per cent to Rs 685.59 crore for Q2 FY07, from Rs 623.78 crore for Q2 FY06.

''The company reported a growth of 13.5 per cent in net domestic sales supported by a healthy bottomline. The first phase of our Uttaranchal plant has also been completed on time,'' Nestle India Chairman Managing Director Martial Rolland said.
