Nestle India Q2 net declines marginally by 2.10 pc
Mumbai, July 29: FMCG major Nestle India has posted a net profit of Rs 81.03 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 82.77 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, declining marginally by 2.10 per cent.
Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 623.78 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 685.59 crore for quarter ended June 30, 2006.
Commenting on the results, Nestle Chairman And Managing Director Martial Rolland said, ''I am very pleased with the strong growth of 13.5 per cent in Net Domestic Sales supported by healthy bottomline in an environment of continuing high input costs. Also of particular satisfaction is the commissioning of the first phase of the Uttaranchal plant in record time, setting a new benchmark.''
