NASDAQ President
Bangalore, July 29 (uni) Nasdaq President and CEO Robert Greifeld, will be in the city and in Mysore opn July 31.
At Mysore he would visit the Infosys Campus where he would participate in the NASDAQ remote opening Bell ceremony.
Mr. Greifeld joined NASDAQ in 2003. In February 2005, Mr.
Greifeld led NASDAQ in completing a secondary stock offering and listing NASDAQ on its own market. Since then, NASDAQ has purchased a 25.3 per cent strategic stake in the London Stock Exchange. Mr.
Greifeld spearheaded NASDAQ's innovative ''dual listing' programme, which for the first time allowed NYSE-listed companies to list on NASDAQ.
NASDAQ is the largest electronic screen-based equity securities market in the United States. With approximately 3,200 companies, it lists more companies and, on average, trades more shares per day than any other U.S. market. It was home to companies that were leaders across all areas of business including technology, retail, communications, financial services, transportation, media and biotechnology. NASDAQ was the primary market for trading NASDAQ-listed stocks.
