Krishna river flows close to danger mark
Mumbai, July 29 (UNI) Krishna river is currently flowing at the height of 39 feet, which is closer to the danger mark of 40 feet, official sources at the Chief Minister's office said.
As 1 lakh cusecs of water has been released from Bhujni dam, Bhima river in Pandharpur is also closer to danger mark. And 63,000 cusecs of water has been released from Koyna dam.
Nearly 577 families have been shifted to safer place. Of these 300 alone are from Pandharpur. The Solapur collector is camping in Pandhapur to overlook the situation and relief work.
CM Vilasrao Deshmukh has asked all district collectors of the state to take precautionary measures.
