Kashmir enjoys pleasant weather due to rains
Srinagar, July 29 (UNI) People in the Kashmir valley finally had a reason to smile after facing hot day-night for about a fortnight as weather became pleasant today.
A spokesman of the IMD here told UNI the minimum temperature last night went down by a degree below normal, after it was recorded 19.4 degree Celsius.
The maximum temperature recorded today was at 29.7 degree Celsius.
Rainfall at a few places in the Kashmir valley, particularly on Baltal-Amarnath and trational Pahalgam-Amarnath routes, may occur, the spokesman said.
The highest ever maximum temperature recorded in the state's summer capital during the past 80 years was 37.8 degree Celsius on June 29, 1978, the spokesman added.
