Incessant rain throws life out of gear in Pune

Pune, July 29 (UNI) Normal life has been thrown out of gear for the past four days following incessant rains, however, no untoward rain- related incident has been reported so far.

Highway police said traffic has been smooth on the Old Pune - Mumbai Highway and Mumbai Pune Expressway.

The police denied report of a landslide between Lonawala and Khandala and said, there has been no landslide while vehicular trafic has been smooth without any trouble.

The Pune Municipal Corporation flood control Department said 52,000 cusecs of water has been released this evening to keep the level of water in dam.
