HSCL launches 'Honda Civic'

Mangalore, July 29 (UNI) Honda Siel Cars India limited (HSCI), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, today launched its new model '' Honda Civic'' with advanced 1.8 L I-VTC engine, sleek, aerodynamic exteriors and futuristic interiors.

Speaking on the occasion, Company Managing Director Mitesh Patel said that 'Honda Civic' would be manufactured initially with 68 per cent localisation which would be increased to 80 per cent within next two years. The new model would be sold through the company's vast network of 51 authorised dealerships across the country. HSCI had already expanded and strengthened its dealership network in preparation for the launch of the Honda Civic. This network was likely to go upto 66 facilities by the end of the current financial year, he added.

He said that Honda City zx, the flagship model from HSCI currently had market share of 23 per cent in the ''C'' segment in South India.
