Heavy rains forecast in Gujarat Orissa, Goa
Pune, July 29 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Gujarat Region, Madhya Maharashtra and active over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, east Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Konkan and Goa. It has been subdued over Arunachal Pradesh.
Heavy to very rains are likely to occur at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Gujarat State, Konkan and Goa. Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and at many places in Jharkhand.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Vidarbha, Marathwada and at many places in Bihar, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, north interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, Kerala and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar islands and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Bihar.
