Haryana signs pact with US college
Maryland, US, July 29 (UNI) The Haryana state and Montgomery College Maryland in the US have signed a joint declaration for cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism, investment in science and technology and education.
Visiting Haryana Finance Minister Birender Singh signed on behalf of the Haryana government while Vice President and Provost of the Germantown Campus of Montgomery College Hercules Pinkney signed on behalf of the college last evening.
The declaration of cooperation said the Haryana government and the Marylan college would pursue, encourage, develop and expand joint activities and programmes, ventures of mutual benefit and exchange of ideas in the related fields.
Dr Mary Kay Shartle-Galotto, Executive Vice President for Academic and Students Services for Montgomery College and Haryana Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Agriculture) Asha Sharma and Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation (HSIDC) Rajeev Arora were also present on the occasion.
