Girl dies in accident, relatives disrupt traffic

Hyderabad, July 29: Protesting over the death of a girl in a road accident, her relatives disrupted traffic in Hakimpet, here today.

The police intervened and dispersed them.

According to police, Haseena Begum, on her way to school, was run over by a speeding lorry. The girl, a student in the Arabic School in Mallepalli, was riding a motor cycle to her school, along with her brother Abdul Rahim when the lorry hit them from rear end.

Due to the impact of the collusion, Ms Haseena was thrown out and went under the wheels killing her on the spot.

Abdul Rahim, with serious injuries, was rushed to a hospital.

On hearing the news, angry relatives broke the windshield of the lorry and obstructed traffic for over an hour. Police interfered and dispersed them.
