GAIL commissions Kelaras-Malanpur pipeline on schedule
Mumbai, July 29 (UNI) The state owned gas transporter Gail India has commissioned its 87 km long Kelaras - Malanpur pipeline project in Madhya Pradesh costing Rs 70 crore within a period of 18 months, without any time or cost overrun.
Announcing this to BSE, the company said the design capacity of the pipeline is 2 MMSCMD and the project involved 44 roads, 9 canals and 5 railway crossings. The pipeline will supply natural gas for the gas based industrial units such as Godrej Consumers, Hotline, Surya Roshni, Cadburys and other industrial users in the Malanpur and Gwalior region.
The gas supplied through this pipeline will also support the city gas distribution projects in Gwalior. The Kelaras- Malanpur pipeline is linked to the Hazira - Vijaipur - Jagdishpur (HVJ) and the Dahej - Vijaipur pipeline (DVPL) systems.
