Five accused awarded life in prison for killing a woman

Patna, Jul 29 (UNI) A fast track court today awarded life imprisonment to five accused for killing a woman.

Judicial Officer K M Srivastav passed the order after hearing both sides.

Vijay Kumar Mitra of Mahavir village under Phulwarisharif police station of the state capital was married to Meena devi in 1977.

Later Vijay was married to another woman Sheela Devi.

All the five accused namely Vijay, Sheela devi, Sanjay Kumar Snehi, Moti Lal Pandit and Saraswati Devi killed Meena on February 19, 1997, and threw her body in a nearby Dehwa village.
