Citizens appeal President to pardon Sumit

Guna, MP, July 29 (UNI) Students and citizens have appealed to President A P J Abdul Kalam to pardon 19-year-old Sulabh Goyal, who was arrested for sending threaterning e-mail to him.

A memorandum addressed to the President was submitted to Ashok Nagar Collector Mukesh Gupta in this regard. People urged the Collector to send the memorandum to Dr Kalam through Governor Balram Jakhar.

Ashok Nagar-resident Sulabh, who is studying in Indore, had created sensation by sending the e-mail to the President. He was arrested and handed over to Delhi Police recently.

The memorandum criticised the language used by sulabh in the e-mail and described the incident as one done in innocence. The memorandum requested the President to pardon him so that his family's future was not destroyed.
