Chimp escapes from its enclosure
Mysore, July 29 (UNI) A male chimpanzee caused panic among visitors when it escaped from its open air enclosure in the zoo here today.
According to the zoo authorities Jason, the chimpanzee jumped over the high fence of its enclosure and started roaming around scaring the visitors, mainly the children who ran helter skelter.
This led to tension in the zoo keeping the authorities on their toes.
The officials launched an operation to send it back to its enclosure. The operation was successful when the chimp was sent back to its enclosure after nearly one hour. No untoward incidents took place, the officials said.
