Bomb hoax at local college creates panic

Nagpur, July 29 (UNI) A scare was created in a local college here when an anonymous caller said that a bomb had been planted in the premises, but an extensive search yeilded no explosive materials.

Police said authorities at the SFS College in Sadar locality here received a phone call from an anonymous caller who claimed that a bomb had been planted in the premises.

The college authorities informed the police who despatched the bomb detection squad to conduct a search. The entire building was thoroughly searched but no bombs were found, the police said.

Earlier, as news of the call spread, all the students rushed out of the college premises.

This was the second incident of a bomb hoax scare in the SFS educational institution. Only four days back, on July 24, a similar incident was reported in the SFS School.
