Bharti Yadav to be declared offender if she fails to appear

New Delhi, July 29 (UNI) A city court today issued a notice to Bharti Yadav, the prime witness in the Nitish Katara murder case, asking her to appear before it on September 28, failing which she would be declared a proclaimed offender.

After hearing the arguments of both the prosecution and defence, Patiala House Court Additional Session Judge Ravinder Kaur issued the notice to Bharti.

Appearing before the court, chief public prosecutor B S Joon had given an application under section 83 CrPC to seek Bharti's proclamation.

Later, talking to UNI Mr Joon said ''If she did not turn up on September 28, we will avail other legal process and procedure to bring her to India.'' UNI XC MSJ KN1813
