Bharat Forge Q1 FY07 net up 5.33 pc

New Delhi, July 29: Bharat Forge has posted a 5.33 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 51.52 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 48.91 crore for the same period last year.

The total income went up by 18.45 per cent to Rs 443.82 crore for Q1 FY07, from Rs 374.68 crore for Q1 FY06.

Earlier, Bharat Forge, a leading forging company, said it is planning to set up a centre of excellence (CoE) in the US. The company already has a CoE in Europe.
