Ballot paper with 90 candidates confuses voters

Hyderabad, July 29: Voters of Ramachandrapuram village in Andhra Padesh, were confused to identify their select candidate from the ballot paper containing 90 names for the Panchayat polls.

Congress workers said the village was a stronghold of the party and that it had posted only one candidate. The party alleged that it was a ploy of the TDP to perplex the voters with a long list.

In Visakhapatnam district, polling was delayed in interior tribal areas as the polling staff could not reach in time. Ballot boxes had to be carried on horse back, as other means including the road transport.
