Alucast 2006 to be held at Goa in November
Chennai, July 29: The first Asia-Pacific Aluminium Conference 2006, organised by the Aluminium Casters' Association of India (ALUCAST) will be held at Goa from November two to five.
Alucast Chennai Centre Convenor R V Parthasarathy and Secretary R T Kulkarni told reporters here last night that the Conference was the 12th in the series since 2004 and was being organised as Asia Pacific conference for the first time.
The theme of the conference would be ''Emerging Technologies and Strategies''. About 750 delegates, including 150 participants from 21 countries, would attend the four-day meet, which would have two concurrent events ''12th Annual Conference (ALUCAST 2006) on Aluminium Die Casting technology and 12th Annual Conference (ALEX'06) on Aluminium Extrusion Technology.
Over 50 technical presentations would be made by international experts in the Asia-pacific region, including Australia, at the conference, which would provide an opportunity for the die casting and extruders manufacturers to inter-act with the experts on advanced technology and have direct access to supplier-buyers, technology, markets under one roof.
About 120 Indian and foreign companies would showcase their products at the expo to be organised as part of the event, which would also have buyer-seller meet and export cluster meets to understand the needs of the global buyers.
Mr Parthasarathy said the next International Conference of Alucast was likely to be held in Chennai in 2008.
