A 'doctor' who prepares you for beggary

New Delhi, July 29 (UNI) A Ghaziabad-based doctor took money to amputate healthy limbs of a man who posed as a prospective beggar, a Television channel reported today.

In a sting operation, a team of CNN-IBN reporters showed that orthopaedic surgeon Ajay Agarwal, against all moral principles and medical ethics, was taking money to amputate healthy limbs.

The channel said the surgeon pocketed Rs 4,000 as advance for the operation from the team while also giving advice on how the amputation could be made to look legal.

A man who faked to be the prospective amputee was taken to Dr Agarwal's Uma Nursing home in Ghaziabad where his blood and urine samples were tested. He was also asked to fill up a registration form, the channel reported.
