Zydus Cadila Q1 Net Profit up by 71 pc to Rs 58 cr

Mumbai, July 28 (UNI) The Ahmedabad based, Zydus Cadila has reporated up by 71 per cent to Rs 58 crore for the first quarter ended June 30,2006 from Rs 34 crore in the first quarter ended June 2005.

Total income also rose by 21 per cent from Rs 373 crore in the corresponding of the previous year to Rs 451 crore for the first quarter ended June 30,2006.Incom growth was mainly driven by an overall growth of 131 per cent in formulation exports.The company's API exports were up by 25 per cent during the financial year 2006, according to the press release issued by Zydus Cadila.

The company signed three new contracts this quarter for contract manufacturing with International companies taking the cummulative number of contracts signed to 14 with peak revenue potential of US dollar 24.24 million, the release added.
