YSR to ensure Infosys comes to AP in big way

Hyderabad, July 28 (UNI) Brushing aside reports that IT major Infosys was having a 'rethink' on making massive investments in Andhra Pradesh due to problems in land allocation,Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today asserted he would ensure the company came to the state as agreed upon.

''The land issue will be sorted out. We will see that Infosys comes here,'' he told reporters here.

''The government has laid a red carpet to woo captains of industry in a big way to the state,'' he said, adding that all infrastructural facilities would be provided to turn Andhra Pradesh a destination for global investors.

Infosys Technologies Ltd, which had entered into Memorandum of Understanding with the Andhra Pradesh Government, had announced major expansion plans involving an investment of Rs 1,250 crore.

It sought 550 acre and reportedly said it would backout following 'delay' in land alienation.
