Youth who send threatening email to President brought to Delhi
New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) A Special Cell team of the Delhi Police today got to the capital from Indore the person who is alleged to have send threatening email to President A P J Abdul Kalam on July 17.
The team along with Madhya Pradesh Police had arrested 20-year-old Sulabh Goyal in Indore on July 26, police said here.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Seema Mani remanded Goyal to one-day police custody.
The police claimed Goyal, a IIIrd year B Com student, had send the threatening email to the President through a bogus ID from a cyber cafe in Indore.
Goyal, who was preparing for the Combined Defence Services exam, had send an email to the President in 2004 too under a false ID. At that time he had taken the National Defence Academy Exam. He had not cleared it and sought the President's intervention.
It was claimed that the country's first citizen also responded saying he would look into the matter. Later, his paper was allegedly re-checked and Goyal cleared the written exam.
Earlier, he had also send an email to US Airforce site from a false ID.
