Workshop for Urdu Journalists

Hyderabad, July 28 (UNI) The Press Academy of Andhra Pradesh is organising a one-day workshop for the journalists working in Urdu newspapers here on 'Right to Information Act 2005', tomorrow.

Mr Devulapalli Amar, Chairman, Press Academy will preside over the function. Mr Mohd Ali Shabber, Minister for information, Public Relations and Energy will be the chief guest.

Mr C D Arha, Chief Information Commissioner, Right to Information, A P and Commissioners R Dilip Reddy, K Sudhakara Rao and Ambati Subba Rao, Mr Zahid Ali Khan, Editor, Siasat, Mr Khan Lateef Khan, Editor in-Chief, Munsif. Mr Burhanuddin Owaisi, Editor-in-Chief, Etemaad, and Syed Vicaruddin, Chief Editor, Rahnuma-e-Deccan, will partipate as guests of honour at the inaugural function, said the academy said in a release here today.

Prof Ah medulla Khan, Dean, Faculty of Law, Osmania University will give lecture on 'Right to Information Act- Comparative Studies' in forenoon session and Dr Sridhar, Associate Professor, NALSAR University of Law on 'Implication and Applications of R T I ' in the afternoon session.

Mr M A Majid, Associate Editor, Etemaad will be the Course Director. S M Hashim, faculty member, National Urdu University will organise group discussions, it added.
