Villagers demand CBI probe in girl's abduction-murder case

Bulandshahr, July 28 (UNI) Thousands of villagers today protested at the district headquarters here demanding a CBI probe in the case of abduction and murder of a teenaged girl.

According to police, Gita of village Devli was kidnapped on July 2 and found murdered on July 16.

However, the police did not hand over Gita's body to her kin after autopsy and hastily cremated her.

To protest the incident and cop's alleged apathy in the case, a mob led by Shikarpur MLA Munnilal Gautam took out a procession, police said.
