Vijaywada milk factory to install Rs 5 crore-packing unit

Vijayawada, July 28 (UNI) The Vijayawada milk factory will install a Rs five crore high-speed liquid milk and milk products' packing unit here by the end of August.

The new unit will have a capacity to roll out 3,600 tetra packs an hour and the quality of packing would be superior to the older machines, Krishna District Milk Producers' mutually-aided Cooperative Union Chairman M Janakiramaiah told newspersons here today.

He said though the new packing machine had reached Mumbai in February, it was left there, because the state government scrapped the governing bodies of all milk unions.

After the milk union started functioning, following a court direction, the machine was brought here, Mr Janakiramaiah added.
