Usha's net up by 75 pc

New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) Siddharth Shriram Group company Usha International Ltd today posted a 75 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 2.84 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, as against Rs 1.62 crore during same period last year.

Turnover of the company for the quarter also grew up to Rs 158.8 crore from Rs 133.9 crore over the same period last year, registering an increase of 19 per cent, a statement said here.

The diverse products marketed by the company include fans, sewing machines, home applicances, engines and pumpsets, electrical motors and pumps, water coolers, air conditioners, generators, inverters and auto components.
