Usha Brita plans to increase export,launches new product range
Kolkata, Jul 28 (UNI) Usha Brita, country's leading brand of water purifier having 50:50 partnership between the Indian and German companies, has decided to put special emphasis on export market following the launch of five new products.
Announcing the company's business plan while introducing the joint venture product to eastern India, Usha Brita Managing Director Anupam Bhat told reporters here today that after successfully penetrating into the SAARC countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka, the compnay now decided to look towards South east Aisa and Far east.
He said at present total domestic market demand of water purifires in India was about 600,000 units per annuam and Usha Brita enjoyed the share of 25 per cent with its annual production running into over 150,000 units. The comany at present has four manufacturing units in Himacjal Pradesh which were enoutgh to meet even if the demand was increased by 100 per cent, Mr Bharat said.
He said though at present Usha Brita had altogether nine products in the domestic and SAARC markets, they were planning to launch two table top and four domestic products for the Far Eastern and South Asian markets.
He, however, refused to speak about financial position of the company which was closely held.
