U.S. to sanction two India firms for transfers to Iran
WASHINGTON, July 27 (Reuters) The Bush administration has decided to impose sanctions on two Indian firms for missile-related transactions with Iran, US officials told Reuters today.
The disclosure came hours after the U S House of Representatives today overwhelmingly agreed the United States should sell nuclear technology to India and rejected a bid by critics to delay the vote over concerns New Delhi was not cooperating sufficiently in US efforts to contain Iran.
