United Phosphorus Q1 net down 33.5 pc

Mumbai, July 28 (UNI) United Phosphorus Ltd has posted a Net Profit of Rs 9.31 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 14.0 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, a fall of 33.5 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise and Rebates and Discounts) has increased from Rs 241.25 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 299.65 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

As per the Consolidated Results, the Group has posted a Profit After Tax of Rs 54.07 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 38.39 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.

Total Income has increased from Rs 407.49 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 480.40 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
