Udit accepts Ranjana as wife

Patna, July 28 (UNI) After a long drawn battle, the noted playback singer Udit Narayan finally accepted Ranjana Jha as his wife before the Women Commission of Bihar.

Commission Chairperson Manju Prakash told newspersons here that Mr Narayan admitted that Ranjana was his wife and agreed to give her the status of wife before the Commission.

She said the couple signed an agreement prepared by the Commission. Mr Narayan admitted that he had done 'injustice' to his wife. Now the couple had no confusion and it depends on them whether they wanted to live together, she added.

Ms Prakash said Ranjana Jha withdrew her case after settlement with her husband.

However, Ms Prakash pleaded ignorance about Deepa Narayan, the other woman who was living with Mr Narayan as his wife. She said being chairperson of the commission, she was unaware of the existance of Deepa and the matter was never brought before her.

Later Ranjana Jha said finally she has got justice and offered Deepa Narayan to stay with them.
