2 planes make emergency landing at NSCBI airport
Kolkata, Jul 28: A Gulf Air airbus-320 and an Indian aircraft made emergency landing at the Netaji Subash Chandra Bose International airport here today.
According to airport sources, the airbus-320 had to return soon after take off owing to technical snag in one of its wings.
The sources said the aircraft with 65 passengers on board took off from hre at 0946 hours for Dubai. But soon after, the pilot noticed one of the flaps of a wing was not opening properly.
The plane returned to Kolkata and landed safely at 0958 hours.
After the defect was repaired, the plane resumed its journey at 1145 hours, the airport authorities said.
Meanwhile, another Agartala bound Indian aircraft also made an emergency landing following some technical difficulty.
The 107 passengers were sent to their destination by another plane immediately, the officials added.
