Tripura CM in Delhi to secure projects for his state
New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today held discussions with Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora, Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and Surface Transport Minister T R Baalu and submitted a list of number of projects to be taken up for the development of the state.
According to official sources, the issues include the exploration of the states vast natural resource of oil and gas.
The Power Ministry has given the nod for extending full support in the early commissioning of the three power projects in the state. These are Palatana project, Monachak project and 21 MW State sector Paramura project.
Mr Sarkar also requested Mr Baalu for the early completion of the four-laning of the National Highway NH44, which the Surface Transport Minister had assured to complete in the next three-and-a-half year time. Meanwhile, the two lane-project of the same would be carried out by the Border Road Organisation (BRO).
