Trainers Warren Singh, Narredu fined

Bangalore, July 28 (UNI) The Stipendiary Stewards of the Bangalore Turf Club have imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 each on trainers Warren Singh and S Narredu for inconsistent pattern of running during the races held between July 15 and 23.

Singh was questioned regarding the inconsistent pattern of running of his charge 'Illusive Lady' (A Ramana up) in Nanoli Stud plate, B Khanna Memorial Cup (Div I) and D M Shivaswamy memorial cup (Div I) of the Bangalore Summer Meeting, according to a release here today.

S Narredu was also pulled up for the same reason with respect to his charge 'Hold That Tiger' (K P G Appu) in Sir Charles Todhunter Memorial Cup, Nawab Sultan Ali Khan Memorial Plate and Lt.Col. Gaunt Memorial Cup.

Jockey M Narredu, the rider of 'Carmina Burana', was fined Rs 3,000 for coming 'in' sharply and causing interference to 'Onegina' (J H Christopher), which in turn came in the way of 'Priceless Forever' (Imran Chisty) and 'Bold Request' (C Krishnan) soon after jumping out of the starting gates, the release said.
