Texmaco to diversify into EMU coach manufacturing

Kolkata, Jul 28 (UNI) Texmaco Ltd would diversify into EMU coach manufacturing.

Company's president and executive R Maheshwari told reporters that the trial orders would start shortly at the company's unit at Belghoria-Agarpara area in north 24 parganas.

Texmaco would also set up a world class steel foundry of 15000 tonne per annum capacity at its north 24 Parganas unit with Rs 60 crore investment.

This would raise the company's foundry manufacturing capacity to 30,000 tonne per annum.

The company currently has an order book of Rs 1200 crore, he said.

Texmaco today reported 89 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 4.48 crore from Rs 2.37 crore in the corresponding period while its net sales increased by 39 per cent to Rs 87 crore from Rs 62 crore in the same period last year.
