Telgi for personal appearance before court
Bangalore, Jul 28: Abdul Kareem Telgi, the prime accused in the multi-crore stamp paper racket, today stuck to his earlier stand that he would make his confessional statement only by personally appearing before the court.
Appearing before fourth Additional City Metropolitan Magistrate Vasanthakumar here from the Pune central jail through video conferencing, Telgi repeated his plea and said his prayer was pending before the Supreme Court.
Following this, the magistrate adjourned the case to August nine.
It may be recalled that this was the sixth time that the recording of Telgi's confessional statement was postponed, including twice on health grounds.
