Teacher arrested for luring a girl for marriage and raping her

Mumbai, July 28 (UNI) Police today arrested a teacher for allegedly raping a 15-year-old student after marrying her giving false information that she was 20, police said.

Mohammad Junaid Hasan Zaidi, a computer education teacher, lured the girl on the pretext that he was unmarried. Junaid married the girl in a mosque after falsely giving her age as 20. Junaid raped her in various guest houses on Mira Road over a period of three days, police added.

He took a train to Delhi but got down at Baroda from where he sent the girl to her relatives at Ahmedabad. The police investigating a missing complaint by the girls family, during interrogation of Junaid's father came to know that he had returned to his house.

Consequently Junaid was arrested from his residence yesterday.

The girl had also been brought back from Ahmedabad. Further investigations were on, police said.
