TCI Q1FY07 net up by 28%
New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) Transport Corporation of India (TCI), a integrated supply chain solutions provider, today registered a hike of 28 per cent in its net profit at Rs 401 lakh for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006, as against Rs 313 lakh during the corresponding period last year.
The company posted an increase of 24 per cent in its net sales at Rs 23,267 lakh in Q1FY07, as compared to Rs 18816 lakh in Q1FY06.
''The year has begun on a very promising note with both our topline and net profit showing impressive growth in comparison to last year. While the rise in price of diesel and other input costs remains a challenge, we have been able to offset these with a greater focus on achieving internal efficiencies and better capacity utilisation,'' TCI Executive Director Vineet Agrawal said.
