Tata Elxi profits up

Bangalore, July 28 (UNI) Tata Elxi today reported net profit of Rs 10.22 crore on a turnover of Rs 63.55 crore for the first quarter ended June 30 last.

The company had reported a turnover of Rs 51.11 crore and a net profit of Rs 6.59 crore for the first quarter of fiscal 2006. For the whole of 2005-06, the company had a turnover of Rs 236.31 crore and a net profit of Rs 34.32 crore.

During the first quarter System integration and support services derived a revenue of around Rs seven crore with the software development services contributing over Rs 56 crore, the company said in a release here.
