Sports scribe passes away

New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) Sports journalist Shashi Pandey died here today. He was 47 and is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

A sports journalist with Bhasha -- PTI's Hindi service -- Mr Pandey had been admitted to the AIIMS hospital and he passed away this morning, according to family sources.

A chief sub-editor, Mr Pandey started his career as a sports journalist in 1986.
