Semi-final line up completed in Asian Youth Netball Championship

Bangalore, July 28 (UNI) Three times champions Sri Lanka will clash with Thailand, while defenders Malaysia takes on Singapore as semi-finalists were spotted at the end of league phase in the 5th Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship here today.

In its last league match, Sri Lanka defeated Singapore 62-44 with Goal Attacker Gishanthi Jayakody doing most of the scoring with 54 points. For losers Vice Captain and Goal Attacker Chen Huifen and Goal Scorer Veronica Clark accounted for 22 points each.

In the other match Malaysia defeated Thailand 65-20 with Goal Scorer Aruna scoring 36 points. Nur Ezzaini Mohd Nov (11), Husna Hussin Ali (13) were the other scorers for the winners. For Thailand goal scorer Ratiporn Naksamakkhee (10 points) was the highest scorer.
